I didn't know cat's could BE that old

I know this is not a very interesting post for most of you out there (and by that I mean no one other than mom) but my cat, SeeJay turns 20 years old today!  :) It is crazy to even think that a cat could be that old especially since we still call her one of the "kittens".
Seejay is my baby and always has been...I picked her out the second she was born and I truly believe that we are kindred spirits-without gettting too weird and crazy.  She has a definite attitude, has a different personality than most other cats you'll find and has she has my eyes!
Happy Birthday Seejay!

We didn't start the fire...

a little flash back music inspiration for this beautiful Monday!  (not a very good picture, but you get my point)

Saturday was absolutely gorgeous outside and we made every effort possible to enjoy every minute of it!  Saturday morning, we took Wrigley for a long walk and I think it did all of us some good, even though the hubs was cussing me the whole time b/c he wanted to be sitting on the sofa-love you honey!  It was so great to not have to wear layers upon layers of clothing and to actually sweat a little bit outside for a change. :)
Saturday night we headed out to Ty's house out in Springville for a bonfire.  It was apparently a guy thing, but my PIC Phoenix and I decided to crash their party. :)  We had so much fun talking, listening to some throwback jams from way back and we even managed to fit in a little bit of gun shootin' and trail ridin' too!

All our country boys
and the "country"girls
Just hanging out
Ryan, Jake, Luke, Ty, Shane and OJ
Ben doing his fire dance...it was late...
What happens to OJ after a long day of golf, shooting guns, and bonfires...

Also, for those of you who know me, I am not a gun person...I have only held 1 (well after this weekend 3) in my whole life.  With that being said, OJ thought it would be a good idea for me to shoot his gun...a 12 gauge sawed off shot gun! (I think it was more for comic relief than anything!) And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I did it!
I have video evidence of not only me shooting said bad a** gun, but also evidence that I am still a girly girl at heart, no matter how "country" I try to be, hence the girly squeal after I shoot it!

We ended the night with some trail ridin' out to Inland Lake which is on his property...it was a fun, interesting ride with some very precarious hills, holes, and rocks that all required a four wheel drive and beer, but Ty got us back safely and we had a ball!

Sorry for the long post and hope this wonderful weather stays!

Birthday Weekend!

Friday night we decided to take it easy and went to our friends Ashley and Austin's house to grill out and playing a littel game called LRC.  I didn't take any pictures, but we had some delish food-BBQ chicken, hashbrown casserole-the best ever! and some yummy potato salad.  It was so good to hang out with them, especially since we don't hang out as much as we would like, but I have a feeling we are going to change that! :) We had so much fun!

Saturday was non-stop all day!
We started off the day at Sawyer's 1st birthday party.  Luckily Tiff and Keith didn't have any problems getting here with the blizzard that is going on in Tulsa over that last week or so and we were able to celebrate the little man's first birthday here at home!    Everything was set up so amazingly cute and perfect with the sock monke theme (no suprise with the Baker girls)...everything was done to perfection!

The birthday boy!
His smash cake and the hat he was not so sure about...
Party favors for the kiddos and sock monkey cookies (of course!)
Some of the food table...now, I am NOT one for banana pudding (the hubs could bath in it), but this was hands down one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten! Patti B-I still need you to send me this recipe! So yummy, I want some right now! :)
Not so sure about the hat quite yet...
Things are suddenly looking up now that you brought in the cake...everything is better with cake!
Beautiful family! ;)

Saturday night we had a little suprise 30th birthday party at Rojo for Keith since his birthday is in March and they won't be back here until June (cry).  He was definitely suprised but I think he enjoyed having all of his peeps around for a while.
The other birthday boy (and his gimp fingers) and the hubs-DEUCES!
Cool birthday cake...
My Tiffy!
My Mere!
My Valentine! Back off ladies! :)

We had such a great time with the Jacksons/Baker family this weekend and I am so glad that we were able to be apart of it all!

Hope everyone is ahvign a great week....I am loving this spring like weatehr we are getting this week for sure! Hope/wish it woudl stick around!

Happy V-Day!

Just want to wish my hot hunk of man a very
Happy Valentine's Day!
This morning before I left for work, he gave me a this little push button (looks like one for those easy buttons) that has different funny saying for each day of the week...these days it is extremely difficult for me to go to work with a smile on my face (that is a whole other ballgame to discuss!) and I think he was trying to make me smile! :)
He's so thoughtful and I truly don't know what my life would be like without him in it. I am so lucky to have you honey and I love you so very much! Looking forward to our cozy night at home with steaks and our favorite Monday night TV shows!

Sawyer's 1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is this sweet little man's 1st birthday!

I can't even believe that he is already a year old and I know it's unbelieveable for his momma too!  Even though he lives on the other side of the country, I feel as though I have lived vicariously through Tiffy this past year.
To be able to watch him grow from a chunky newborn baby to a smiley, happy, handsome little boy this past year has just been amazing! It still amazes me that Tiff is even a mommy, much less to a 1 year old, but I don't know of anyone of this earth that could be a better mommy to Sawyer man!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday little man!!
(and that you are able to get here this weekend so we can celebrate with you!)
Happy Birthday Sawyer!!!

Hammer 2, Pop 0

A week or so ago, my Pop was working and apparently let his brain escape him while working on the ROOF and as a result...
the hammer won, obviously. :)

Lesson of the Day-don't get into a fight with a hammer b/c you will lose!

Birthdays Engagements, and the Super Bowl

Happy Birthday Angela!
Tomorrow (the 8th) is this girl's 28th birthday!
Angela is one of the funniest chicks I have ever met and is a great traveling buddy!  She is so sweet, relaxed, fun and a perfect match for her Matty Matt!

Hope you have the best birthday Ang!  Love you!

Also I would like to give a big congrats this beautiful couple on their engagement over the weekend!
I don't have the full scoop yet on the details, but the ring is gorg and they couldn't be more perfect for each other.  I wish you guys all the best.  On to more wedding showers we go!

As for this past weekend, I was a huge slacker on the picture taking front, but believe me, I am sparing you from seeing pictures of us cleaning our house for hours (top to bottom) on Saturday and me going to bed at 8:30 everynight!
We did venture out on Sunday over to Angela and Burton's for a small gathering to watch the Super Bowl!  As you all know by now, the Packers won.  I was pretty neutral for this game and was basically more excited about the commercials and the halftime show-which by the way, I LOVE me some Fergie, but we'll jsut say it was not her best vocal performance, however I loved the light up people!

I will leave you with the only picture I did take this weekend...
Watching the Puppy Bowl...he whined the whole time! I think he wants a puppy to play with!

Living with Wrigley 3

Mitch and I are convinced that Wrigley believes he is not a Great Dane, but instead, a Chihuahua.  We do not have a tall bed at all and even though he can step up on it with no problems, he will crawl up to get on our bed at night and sometimes, well, he just gets so exhausted that he just can't make it any farther...

I was obviously not ready for the photo op since I was already in bed...please excuse!

Happy Friday!

Happy Birthday Chad!

Just wanted to wish Chad a very Happy Birthday today!

(I felt this picture was not the most attractive but def the most appropriate for his birthday celebrations!)

We are all going to eat and celebrate his birthday tonight after work at La Cocinca Superior and I am looking forward to it!   I hope that you have a great birthday Chad!

Happy Birthday!

Golf, Brunch and Warm Weather = a great Saturday afternoon

This past weekend we had amazing weather for January and we decided to take full advantage of it, and that's exactly what we did....our men folk went to play golf and the ladies went for brunch.

We started out at Silvertron Cafe in Forest Park for some mimosa's and breakfast.  I had the Southwestern Eggs Benedict-delish, but then again so was everything that I tried there-and their pitchers of mimosa's were only $8!

We then made our way over to Jackson's since it was warming up a bit to sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful weather.
We also ran into an actual Auburn Tiger...Ryan Shoemaker and yes we were those girls that went to ask if he had his Championship ring and if we could have a picture...

After the sun went down (and many Blue Moon's later), we decided that  it was time to head home. (or so I thought)...

Once we met back up with the men, a few of us headed up to BWW-as if we have not had enough excitement for the day!  Needless to say we were all in bed fairly early since we had been around the world in 12 hours!

(not sure about that look on you Matt....)
Aren't they cute in their coordinating shirts?  They planned it!

We had a great day and the warmer weather def made me long for spring to hurry up and get here.  :)
