I love you and our time together, but I've got to get out of this house!

This is what my dear sweet hubs told me on Saturday after being couped up in our lovely abode for almost a month now, watching movies, eating grilled cheeses and being lazy and completely anti-social goons! So, we did some running around town for supplies for my "Project: Re-do the living room" idea I have going on in my head right now.  The hubs took me to Yogurt Mountain as he promised and it was so worth the wait! Yum!
Saturday night one of the hubs old college roomies came into town with his better half and asked us to join them for some cold adult refreshments. And since the hubs had already made the afore mentioned statement above, we were more than willing.  :)

Yours Truly, Lindsay and Savannah

And our handsome men folk-Strange, Justin and the hubs
oh and Strange's sweater vest came to hang out for while too!

Sunday I did some serious house cleaning that was long overdue (apparently our maid skipped our house this month, not sure what happened there) and I also went to Holly's baby shower for sweet baby Callie Marie who will be here in September!

In other news, the hubs and I finally booked our vacation!
We are going to Ocean Coral & Turquesa in Puerto Morelos, Mexico the middle of July for our anniversary and we are super pumped! There was so much drama with trying to book this stupid vacation-anything from canceled flights to booked rooms to flights going up $200 in 4 hours-so I'm super duper relieved that we are actually booked.
Pray for us that you will not find our heads in a box somewhere in podunk town Mexico 2 months from now. (Kidding mom!)

And here is our sweet man since he hasn't been on the ol' blog in a while

I hope that everyone is having a great week.

In need of a search party...

since I have been MIA for the last couple weeks.  I am back and apologize for my absences as I am not sure how you got through your day without your daily dose of nonsense!

To be honest, I have not blogged because I have not had much to blog about.  Makes sense, right?
Granted there are a few things that I did completely miss, like my Bloggy anniversary! Yep as of the 13th (I know I'm way behind) I have had this amazing piece of scrap-booking gold for one whole year now! It has been fun to look back on everything that has happened over the past year and I hope to continue for years to come!

Another thing I missed was Father's Day. <--worst daughter ever
I think that my Pop is well aware of how much I love and adore him (and always have) but this day I wanted him to know that he is the best! He is so hard-working and is willing to sacrifice anything for the happiness of his family and he proves that everyday he busts his booty!  Pop- I love you more than you'll ever know...you were the first man in my life and Mitch has got some pretty big shoes to fill following in your footsteps!
I love you!

We have spent some time at the ballpark and let me tell you, nothing says birth control quicker than 98 degrees with a 1 year old fat sweaty baby that won't take a nap and a serious appetite and a team of 7 year olds pumped up on icees and nachos! wow!
Just like a man-he takes the easy one that can feed himself and doesn't require a diaper...
I got said fat sweaty baby! It was so worth it though...we had a blast!

We also had the first of many, many baby showers this summer.  This hot momma is due in August with sweet little Carson and we can't wait to meet him!

We are on course for another few lazy weekends in preparation for our vacay that we are going on in July...more on that later.  But I do promise to not leave you hanging as long as I did...I know you guys (Phoenix) don't know what to do with your day at work when you don't get my words of wisdom!
Peace!

Friday Fragments

I'm random today, so we will see how the list form works.  :)

-First off, I am very frustrated with Blogger right now, b/c it seems like they just can't get it together.  First a few weeks back it was dropping posts and now I am having issues commenting.  WTH?! Not that I get a whole lot of comments anyways, (thanks Tiff and Jess, no thanks to mom, Mitch or Phoenix) :) but I was wondering if my posts were getting that bad or if something was up with Blogger.  I'm sticking with the "something wrong with Blogger" story :)

-I would like to wish a very Happy birthday to these lovelies...

Maria Maria (her b'day isn't until Sunday)

and this guy :)

-I'm having some serious jealouly issues right now b/c Jess and Matt are chilin' in Jamaica enjoying a fruity cocktail while I'm stuck in this ridiculously empty office doing everything but working.

-this weekend we have the first of many baby showers coming up this summer/fall! Which reminds me, I will not be drinking the water around here for the next little while...the baby boom has definitely hit our circle and I'm gonna stick to my moscato for a little while longer. :)

-my 10 year high school reunion is coming up in about a month and I'm having some serious internal struggles on whether I should go or not.  I know the majority of people would say to go b/c you only have one 10 year reunion, but to be honest, thanks to facebook, I already know everything I need/want to know about everyone that I went to school with-some even too much!  Also, the number of people that I don't want to see far outweighs the number of people I would like to see.

I'm leaning towards no, but what do you think?

-one of my biggest pet peeves ever-someone not calling you back when they say they are going to...drives.me.crazy!
I have had this happen to me twice this week-one with my doc and the other with a travel agent...I mean seriously, at least call me back and tell me you have nothing to tell me yet, but that you are working on it...so frustrating!  I digress...

-I am super stoked that SO you Think You Can Dance is back on! Although I didn't agree with all of their choices for the top 20, I think this is really going to be a great season.  The hubs is super excited too even though he won't admit it! Love you honey!

That;s enough rambling for one afternoon...see ya next week!
I hope you guys have a great weekend!

Weird things I do daily

As I was getting ready for work this morning, I noticed some of the odd things that I do on a day to day basis.  Things that I do without thinking about it until it is pointed out to me that it is strange of different from the norm.  So, I thought it would be a somewhat interesting post, so we'll see where this takes us.

Here are some of the odd things I find myself doing on a daily basis:

-I can not leave the house without telling Wrigley "I love you bubby...I love you!" <-- and I have to say it twice...call it OCD, I don't know...

-The hubs constantly reminds me of this, but to be honet I'm not sure if I'll ever get it-whenever I heat something up in the microwave, I always hit the 1 minute button regardless of what I'm heating up and will always leave a few seconds left on the screen.  I don't know why, but I really believe that it is going to cause the hubs to have an anxiety attack one day

-regardless if I am at work, in the car (riding , not driving) or sitting on the sofa and come across a few minutes, I will constantly stalk check facebook and /or Words with Friends...I admit I have a problem

-this one is the hubs fault-I always have to have the volume on an even number.  He started this years ago and his obsessiveness has rubbed off on me now!

-I have a very particular order that I get ready in-brush teeth, take rings off, shower, put makeup on, fix hair, put lotion on, put rings on, get dressed and then perfume.  If I ever have to stray away from this routine I will either forget to brush my teeth, not put on a bra or walk out of the house wearing nothing but perfume!

-I always place my glass of whatever I am drinking back in the exact same spot everytime...there will literally be a wet ring where ever my glass has been

-when we put Wrigley in his crate before we leave, I make sure that he can't see any of his toys that are not in his crate b/c I don't want them to taunt him throughtout the day!

I know I have either made you feel extrermely normal or seriously scared you!
What are some of the strange and unusaul things you do on a daily basis?

Stop, woah, back it up , now let me see your hip SWING...

For those of you who were at our wedding, this video will make perfect sense.  Here is a video of our friend Ben who broke it down in the parking lot of the hotel after Haley and Kevin's wedding.  It makes me smile!

Sorry the video is sideways...not sure how to fix it...

Haley and Kevin's Wedding

Saturday we made our way down to Montgomery, Al for Haley and Kevin's wedding.  It was held at The Oaks Plantation and it was gorgeous! I may be slightly biased to the old white farm houses since we were married at one almost 3 years ago in July!
Haley was stunning! Seriously one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen! Kevin looked at her in amazement all throughout the night with a perm-a-grin on his face...too cute!

I have been lucky enough to hang out with this girl for 3 weekends in a row!

After the wedding, a bunch of us, including the bride and groom, came back to the hotel and hung out in the lobby until 4 am!  It was awesome to be able to have quality time with them and it was so much fun!

I love this pic of Haley- I told her to pose and this was her "go-to" move!

We had so much fun and am so honored to have been able to be apart of their special day.
I am incredibly jealous b/c they are in Jamaica right now enjoying the beach and a fruity cocktail!
Hope ya'll have a blast!

Memorial Day Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend was jam packed with everything from a little movie action, to some pool time, to a very interesting wedding, to a wonderful cookout with some good friends...where to start!?

Friday night we were very low key and just had some Mexican food and went to see the Hangover 2!  It was hilarious, but let me be the first to tell you, if you are offended by cursing or male full frontal shots, this is NOT the movie for you.  Of course we knew what to expect and thought it was hilarious and just as good if not better than the first one.

Saturday, the boys went to play golf (of course, who would have guessed it) so some of us girls decided it was way too hot to not be by a pool.  Since my parents pool isn't ready yet, our sweet friend Ben's mom opened up her pool to us so that we wouldn't melt!  Later that evening we grilled out over at Phoenix and Oj's and enjoyed yet another wonderful installment of Just Dance 2...yes we are full blown addicted!

Sunday, our friends Jessie and Stephan got married! They were married at the Holy Cross Holy Catherdral Church downtown was absolutely beautiful.  Sorry no pics of the church.  The ceremony was slightly different than anything I had ever been to before...they are Greek Orthodox, so the entire ceremony was sung by the preacher, everything was done in a series of 3's-the crowning of the bride and groom, walking around the table...oh and did I mention that the ceremony took a little over an hour and we stood the entire time!  Yep, we were really happy to see the reception!

Me and my handsome hubby
Besties!
Haley and Kevin who are getting hitched this Saturday...so excited!
Just a few of the lovely ladies I will be hanging out with this weekend at the wedding!
No, I am not 9 months pregnant even though I was asked that night if I was-nothing can kill a girls morale quicker than being asked how far along you are when you're not preggers!

Memorial Day we went to Bethany and Miller's house in Homewood for a little cookout.  We did it redneck style by hanging out in the driveway on the tailgate, listening to music and enjoying the miserably hot weather before taking a dip in a local pool.

Happy Birthday's all around!

Well apparently the first week of September is/was a very 'happening" kind of time for some folks b/c
some very important people in my life are celebrating birthdays today-my mom, bro and dear friend Phoenix!

My sweet mom!  I love you so very much and don't know what I would do without you (or who I would call during the day when I am bored or just want to chit-chat!)  You have taught me so much about life, relationships, money, fashion, etiquette, and so much more.  Thanks for being you!  I love you!

Happy Birthday mom!

My bro! We have grown up being total opposites, and I thought we would never have a thing to talk about.  But in the last few years we have developed a good relationship and it is because you have been willing to step out of your comfort zone a bit at times and open up and I'm so glad!  You have a heart of gold and have def taken one for the team during these hard times and I want you to know how much I appreciate it and you.  Still can't belive you are already 25 years old...weird...

Happy Birthday Matt!

My PIC (Phoenix)!
You are one of my besties and I love you to death.  We have shared in so many fun times throughout the years and I hope that we continue to share many, many more!  You are a dear sweet friend and I truly cherish our relationship! Love you girl!

Happy Birthday Phoenix!
More posts to come later today on Memorial Day weekend!
