26 Weeks

btw-horrible pic of me slouching

How far along:
26 weeks

Weight Gain:
3 lbs this week, 14 lbs total

Sleep:
still good!

Best moment of the week:
We went to register at Buy Buy Baby this past weekend and while it was fun to pick out stuff for our little Sweet Pea, it quickly became super overwhelming-what kind of bottles, which stroller, what color for this and that...!
We were both so exhausted by the time we were finished and didn't even have the energy to go to the other store...that will be for another day!

Food Cravings:
Again, nothing major still...

Gender:
GIRL!!!

Movement:
Lots! I think she started head-butting me this week!  Still one of my fav things ever! :)

What I miss:
Nothing really at the moment
What I am looking forward to:
I am so looking forward to our babymoon/anniversary/project: get me out of the house trip this weekend!  The hubs and I are going to Panama City Beach this weekend for some much needed R&R! This will more than likely be the last time I can go on a vacay before we are parents (<--weird), so I'm def going to soak up every last minute with my honey!

Also, this week I started doing the Summer Sanders Prenatal video that Jess let me borrow and I love it!
It really is such a good workout b/c my legs and arms are ubber sore but at the same time it doesn't get your heart rate up super high either, which is good for mommy and baby. :)
Also it makes me feel so much better after I do my little workout...hopefully I will be able to keep that up!

4 Years!

4 years ago today I married my best friend, the absolute love of my life and the father of our soon to be daughter and couldn't possibly imagine my life could be any better! At times these last 4 years seem as if we've been married forever and in other moments it seems as though we were married only yesterday. :)

We have been through so much together and I wouldn't have ever wanted to do life with anyone else!

I love you more than you could ever know Mitch Thompson and I ake up everyday wondering what the world will throw our way next!

Thank you for choosing me as your wifey, bestest friend and soon to be mother of your children...for that, I am truly the luckiest girl in the world!

I love you!!!!

Our honeymoon in Jamaica

Happy Anniverysary babe!

Chow Down Around Town-Slice

Bet you were starting to wonder where these posts had gone, huh?!

Well I was finally able to make it to one after the chaos that is our lives lately and I was super pumped about the location b/c I've heard it was yummy and it did not disappoint.

I got the Spicy Hawaiin pizza with pineapple, ham and jalapenos...little did I know that the jalapenos were fresh and far more than this ol' girl could take! After removing those and regaining some of my tastebuds back, I was able to enjoy my food peacefully!
We sat on the patio at Slice in Lakeview and even though it was slightly warm at first, we still managed to have fun and a great turnout!

(From left-right: Ara, Yours Truly, Mere, Alana, Noel, Erica, Phoenix, Rachel, Deb, Ang and Julie)

As good as the food and the company was, I was more than eager to get home and get in my bed after this long day.  I started the day off at the car dealership (not the way anyone wants to start their day) to have my seats fixed, went to work for an hour and then had to run to the doc about some heart palpitations that I was having that had me ever-so-slightly concerned, went back to work and then made it to Chow Down in 5 o'clock traffic!
No worries, me and Sweet Pea are doing fine othr than apparently I am severely dehydrated and have not been drinking nearly enough fluids (even though I thought I was doing a good job). I have started Project: drink.as.much.as.you.possibly.can.in.a.24.hours.so.that.we.can.both.survive.this.heat!

More birthdays...

So Saturday after we celebrated the boys birthdays, we had to high-tail it over to Cantina for a surprise party for our friend Blake, who was turning 30!

Sitting at the bar sippin' on my water awhiel the hubs enjoyed his $2 Miller Lite....soon, very soon!
Super surprised for sure!
Ashley and I
Sans (Blake and Kathryne's little boy-isn't he adorable?!) and Austin or "Aus" as he calls him!

I realized that we have not been very good at documenting "the bump" while we are out and about during our daily lives other than the weekly pics, so that meant mini photo shoot on the patio-the boys were thrilled!
me and my Mere
It was a good night, but a very long day to say the least.  This preggo was happy to see her bed for sure! :)

Hunter turns 8, Cohen turns 2!

Saturday was the nephews joint birthday parties since their birthdays are only 10 days apart! Its hard to imagine that Hunter is already 8 years old and that Cohen is 2 and in a toddler bed! Time flies!
It was a swim party and Brad and Julie rented an inflatable slip n slide too!

I can not tell you how disappointed Mitchell was that he couldn't play with the kids slip n slide since he is still in a knee brace-def not good for the recovery of a broken bone!

You will see by the pictures, it is very difficult to get any pics of the boys these days still, so here are some "candid" shots of our day!

Check out those Thompson blue eyes...girls are going to be chasing after those baby blues one day!
They love their Uncle Mitch so much!
2 year old and 8 year old boys birthday party + 90 degree weather + 6 months preggo = very little make up make up!

We really had so much fun with the boys and they are truly a joy to be around. We love them so much! :)

25 Weeks

How far along:
25 Weeks, 1 day

Weight Gain:
2lbs this week, 11 lbs total

Sleep:
Still good, no problems other than waking up at least 1-2 times to pee every.single.night!

Best moment of the week:
Nothing monumental, but of course getting to feel our little one more and more moving around in there is always the best! :)

Food Cravings:
A few more sweets than normal-which for me is any sweets at all.  There may or may not be a cheesecake at the Thompson house as I type this...just sayin'! :)

Gender:
GIRL!!!

Movement:
Tons! We have a little kickboxer on our hands! :)  Felt her move for the first time on both sides of my belly which I guess means that she is really growing!
No matter what kind of mood I'm in, it brightens my day when she starts moving around in there!

What I miss:
Being able to just buy clothes without having to think about whether the "girls" or the belly will fit in them.

What I am looking forward to:
We got paint samples on the wall last night and I'm hoping that my dear sweet Pop (wink wink) will come over this weekend and help us get the crown molding started in her room and then we can paint!

24 Weeks

Wrigley was really feeling the camera this week!

How far along:
24 Weeks...6 months! Can't believe we are already here!

Weight Gain:
9 lbs total, 0 lbs this week...not sure how this is due to the fact that I am always snacking but def not going to complain. ;)

Sleep:
Still no complaints, but am waking up more and more on my back still...

Best moment of the week:
Nothing too eventful but the Baby Daddy I did go look at some gliders and such at Buy Buy Baby this past weekend and it got us both excited about picking out all of her stuff soon!
Also seeing her bedding in her room with the crib is pretty fun too!

Food Cravings:
Ramen noodles have tasted pretty good this week and of course hot dogs...:)

Gender:
GIRL!

Movement:
Lots! She def wants to make her presence known now! Mitch got to feel her one of her little "kickboxing" sprees on Saturday and it was the most either one of us have felt her move to date...we both just found ourselves giggling on the sofa, both of us afraid to move b/c we didn't want her to stop! :)

What I miss:
Still nothing too major...really thought that a large glass of wine would be calling my name by now, but still have been alright with its absence...don't get me wrong, I will def enjoy a bottle glass come November for sure!

What I am looking forward to:
Getting the crown molding up in her room and getting the room painted! Hoping to get this done this week or at least get started on it, but we shall see!

We have both been doing very well lately.  As stupid as it sounds, I'm starting to actually feel pregnant now...I guess with the belly finally poking out there and strangers noticing her it just makes it seem so much more real now.  It is still completely strange to think that we are going to have a daughter and I'm not sure when/if that feeling will go away, but I like having that continuous excitement between us! Never a dull moment for sure!

Wrigley and fireworks

So as you all know, we have a pretty ferocious guard dog on our hands, so when he hears the fireworks, he goes into full guard dog, I must protect this house mode!

Since we had no idea how long into the night the fireworks would last on the 4th, the hubs thought it would be a good idea to take Wrigley outside and let him see the fireworks so he would know where the noises were coming from and that the house was safe.
Well this worked out well b/c Wrigley was mesmerized which meant a great time for mommy to get some good pics of him while he was still for once!
And of course one with his daddy! Arent' they handsome?!

After we brought him in from the fireworks show, he never made another sound and went straight to sleep.  I guess he felt like he was officially "off duty" and could finally relax!

Celebrating the 4th

With the 4th falling smack dab in the middle of the week, it has thrown me off tremendously...why don't they just give us the Monday or Friday off and call it done?
Anyways, since we did have a day off in the middle of the week, we decided to go cook out at our friends Ashley and Austin's house on Tuesday night as a 4th of July eve celebration if you will. :)

Julie, Kathryne, Ashley, Yours Truly, Mere and Sans<--he is adorable btw!
The hubs and Austin playing one of many cornhole games
Ty and Ben
Me and Mere

For the actual 4th, we went to Mrs. Candy and Terry's pool b/c with this heat, there really wasn't anywhere else this preggo was going!
Blogger fail-absolutely not 1 pic of me or the hubs-not sure what was going on there-I guess I was more concerned with staying cool submerged in the pool most of the day and then stuffing my face with hot dogs the rest!

Priorities people!

And look at who went swimming for the first time sporting his super adorable and holiday appropriate swim trunks! Yep, Mr.Baylor did! He was so good and I think he enjoyed it!
