Wrigley's ready for the National Championship game...Bring it!

Having a short haired dog is awesome-don't have to brush them or get rid of those awful tangles, but when it gets really cold outside like it has been this week (not above freezing!), I feel like I need to go the extra step to make sure our little buddy stays extra warm since he doesn't exactly have a fur coat to keep his butt warm.

So I purchased this lovely yesterday....

Wrigley seems to really like his new ensemble...his daddy on the other hand is still up in the air about it.  :)The only redeeming quality I think it has right now to him is that it is Auburn colors and Wrigley can help us cheer on our Auburn Tigers come January 10th against Oregon!  Hopefully this new sweater will bring our Tigers some extra good luck and keep my little man warm this winter!! :)

Good Friends + Good times + Comfy Christmas Pj's = 6th Annual Christmas Party!

This past Saturday we went to our friends Mere and Ben's house for their annual Christmas party.  We dressed up in our Christmas Pj's and enjoyed good food, drinks, friends, and a pretty fun game of Dirty Santa!  It was by far the best idea ever to wear our Pj's...I don't think I have ever been so comfy at a party before...def even to keep in mind later on! :)

Yours truly and Mrs. Coleman (well the newest one anyway) :)
Mel, Megan, Jess and Myself
Not exactly sure what the top half of the stairs were doing, but still cute-(Kayla, Jess, Angela, Bethany, Phoenix, Me, Jenn, and Mere!

The hubs shirt said "Dear Santa, Bring me what I want for Christmas or Dancer and Prancer are next!"  He thought this was hilarious and wanted it on a shirt, so we made it happen! :)  He's so cute!
A little too much eggnog! :)
Just cause I thought it was cute-Burton, Gooch, and Ben in their onesies!!

Hope everyone has as much fun at their Christmas party as we did...Thanks Ben and Mere for the wonderful time!

Pop's Birthday Party!

For my pop's birthday Wednesday, we decided to have them over to our house for some Mexican Fiesta and cookie cake...and for them to see their granddog they hAven't seen in a while! ;)

We stuffed our faces with dinner and then cookie cake (for the biggest cookie monster ever!) and maybe a few cocktails in there somewhere too!  Here are a few pictures from our evening...

The birthday boy and his giant cookie!
All of the men in my life...
My pop!
My mom is so proud!

And we were finally able to get a true "family picture"-thanks mom for taking the picture and Matt for holding the toy so Wrigley would pose!

It was a good time had by all, including Wrigley who passed out as his grandparents pulled out of the driveway!  They wore him out!  I hope that we have many many more just like this! ;)  Happy Birthday again to my wonderful pop! I love you! :)

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today is my Papa's 57th birthday!  Now for those of you who don't know, I'm a daddy's girl Papa's girl from way back and I can't begin to tell you how much he means to me!  Here are jsut a few reason's why he is so wonderful...

-He cares for his family unconditional
-He is the hardest worker I have ever met
-He is a stubborn Irishman (I know this is a weird reason, but it is what makes him, him and I kind of understand him a little more b/c I'm the same way!)
-He makes me laugh
-Even at 58 years old, I still think my Papa is so cute-especially in his "big boy" pants-(right mom?!)
-He loves his granddog very much  :)
(I think Wrigley is kind of fond of him too!)
Told you!

I could keep naming things off all day long, but the truth of the matter is...Papa-I love you so very much and am so happy to be spending another birthday with you and so glad that you are my Papa!  I hope your birthday has been great and we will enjoy some yummy Mexican Fiesta tonight to celebrate! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POP!
 I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

SEC Champs Baby!

First of all...War Damn Eagle and congrats to my Auburn Tigers on their big win against South Carolina this past weekend in their 56-17 victory!  Now it's on to Glendale, AZ for the National Championship game in January to hopefully win it all!

On to this past weekend...Friday night we celebrated one of our dear friends, Jeff's 30th birthday with a  little Mexican food at Frontera and a few drinks at BWW.  We had a lot of fun and so glad that we were able to celebrate with him and his beautiful fiance Kara!
Jeff was so happy the hubs was there! :)
Phoenix and OJ (He actually made a good smile rather than a stupid drunk face...he's growign up so quick!)
So cute...

Saturday we went to Phoenix and Oj's house to hang out and watch the game before heading to the Grayson Valley Country Club to celebrate yet another one of our friends, Oz's, 30th birthday too!

The hubs with the enemy! (Just kidding, Walker was a good sport even though he is die-hard Bama all the way!)
This is the face I was referring to earlier...
Me and my Mere at Oz's birthday party!

My P-I-C...I think you are all aware of her by now! :)
My love...
Not sure exactly what was going on here, but obviously the night made a turn...

Of course the night didn't end there since we apparently thought we were 21 again, so unfortunately we ended up at Velma's...listen to me when I tell you, nothign EVER good comes out of going to Velma's!  It is a devil place that makes you smell like an ash tray and feel like you have been hit by a tanker!  That with a 3:00 AM trip to Waffle House did not make me feel grand the next day for my company Christmas party either!

More on the Waffle House trip later as well as another installment of "Funny Faces" coming soon!

Crockpot Chicken and Wild Rice

Monday night we tried a new recipe that I came across and I wanted to share with the 4 of you b/c it was so yummy and made a TON!  I actually had the hubs "cook" it since he doesn't work on Mondays.  Here we go...

Put 4 chicken breasts in the crockpot with salt and pepper, add a half an onion diced, and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup.  Let it cook for 7-8 hours on low...the chicken will just fall apart.  When you are ready to serve, cook 2 packages of rice of your choice (we used Uncle Ben's Long Grain Wild Rice) and add it to the crockpot, mix and serve!

**Also a side note-this makes a TON of food like I said, so you could easily half this recipe and still have plenty for 4 people...we just like leftovers at our house!

Enjoy!

Christmas came early for this girl!

As you all are aware, my camera had a date with a concrete floor about a month ago and I have been searching for a new one ever since.  I wanted one that I could still carry around with me in my purse but I also wanted one that will be a little better quality too.

Enter my early Christmas present from my adorably sweet hubby...
It's a Canon Powershot SX130 and I LOVE it so far!  I have only had it since last night and still need some lessons (uuhhmm-Jess and Mere!) on how to use it properly, but I am really excited!  Also, this means that there will be pictures again on my blog rather than me just rambling on and on! I know, you're welcome. :)

I want to thank my sweet hubby for letting me have my present early to enjoy over the holidays...I love you more than you know! :)

I'm off to take pictures...hope everyone is having a good week!
