I know that I am more than a little bit behind on updating but am going to do my best to get up to date as soon as possible.
For starters, let's go with the proverbial birth story to kick things off.
Wednesday night (October 24th) we checked into the hospital at 8:00 to begin the induction process.  They started my IV-hands down the worst part of the entire process by the way-and the 1st round of Cytotec.  By 1or 2 AM, I was not progressing, so they did another round of the Cytotec and started the Pitocin.
By Thursday morning, I still had not progressed and that is when Dr. Ellis decided to pump up the pitocin even more and if I still had not progressed by 10 that morning, it was looking like a c-section was in my future.
By 10 AM it became pretty obvious that Hollis really loves her mommy and didn't want to go anywhere, so my c-section was scheduled for 1:45 that afternoon.
Strangely enough I wasn't nearly as nervous as I thought I would be, having no medical procedures done before in my entire life, much less serious abdominal surgery. I guess the adrenaline was flowing and we were just so excited to finally meet our baby girl!
Before checking into the hospital...

Our last photo as a family of 3...
About to meet our girl!
Even though the pic says 20 inches long, all of her paperwork says 19 inches, so we are just going to go with it! :)
First family photo :)
Proud daddy!
I'm going to spare everyone and break the rest of our pics up into seperate posts...more of Hollis to come!
