And these people make more than me?!

Having worked in the corporate world for almost 5 years now, it has come to my attention that most of the corporate folks (from the mailroom to the big suits) would more than likely take their brains out and play with them if they could rather than use the gifts the good Lord gave them.

Exhibit A)
Parking.
Why is it so difficult to park your car in between those 2 bright white lines? I mean it's not like you haven't been driving and parking for decades...

Exhibit B)
I work in the healthcare field and while I have heard of Inpatient Operations, I am still unclear as to what Impatient Operations must be.
Hhhmmm...

Exhibit C)
What part of his brain told him that this was going to fit in the elevator...thank God he's only in charge of stacking boxes and not my paycheck! ;)

Exhibit D)
Like I said, I work in the healthcare field and we have some pretty smart, talented doctors as some of our tenants, but when it comes to walking around sense, well, they struggle a bit.
When all else fails, put duct tape on your $50,000 rent check...I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this was one of our male doctors...just saying. :)

Just saying...

Unexpected house guest

This past Friday night, we had some company spend the night with us.

Long story short, our neighbors found a wiener pup after almost witnessing it get hit by a car and it needed a place to stay the night since their ferocious Maltese doesn't exactly like other animals, so we volunteered to keep the little guy for the night until we could take him to the vet.

Wrigley was super excited to have a playmate for the night...they played, and slept and ran for most of the night  and had a great time!  Our little guest wasn't scared in the least bit of Wrigley and actually thought he was pretty handsome a lot of the time, if you know what I mean.   :)

Here are some pics taken with my phone of our little adventure...

checking each other out...
Wrigley was very curious
Believe it or not, at one point, all 4 of us were asleep on our bed.  It was a tight squeeze but everyone was content. ;)

This is probably my least favorite kind of dog ever, but I have to admit that he was really adorable and so very sweet and playful.
The next morning, he was taken to the vet to see if he was by chance micro-chipped...sadly he wasn't but flyers were put up and the vet has been taking very good care of him until his momma finds him.

Honestly I haven't had the heart to call and check on him b/c I've already told myself that he is safely back at home now.
That's my story and I'm sticking with it. :)

Long time, no see

Can I just say to start off the Blogger and Google Chrome are not my friends this morning! I have been trying for 2 days to post and it kept giving me problems...why Blogger must you mess with me when I am actually feeling like posting?!
ggrrh

I digress...

So while I have been ubber busy at work lately (which is also my blog time, only I'm not paid for these aw-inspiring posts), but our social calendars have been the complete opposite.  The last 2 weekends, we have ventured out for a little while for this or that and then scrambled back to our sofa to watch mindless episodes of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and Ink Master marathons.

Last Saturday my sweet friend Tiff came into town with all of her boys to celebrate Sawyer's 2nd birthday!
Of course, everything was beyond adorable and perfectly planned out.

He was so done with the cameras by the end of the afternoon :)
Love her
And we got to play with this little love muffin, Hannah!
She is beyond sweet and we both feel in love with her instantly! We are kind of fond of her momma too! :)

Later that night, a few of us went to the bowling alley-Mitch of course dominated the night, but I at least impressed everyone with my "unique" technique of hurling the heaviest ball I can down the alley! :)
Fun Times!

My honey!

If you have stuck around for the end of this post, God bless you and thanks!
Sorry for the picture overload!

Life Lately

I wish I could talk about all of the new and exciting things that have been going on and have some super cool pics to show for it, but not so much. So instead here is a breakdown of how we've been livin' lately. :)

-A week or so ago, we had a little ladies brunch session at Silvertron.  It was a mixture of party planning details, mini baby play date with the chicks, celebrating Megan's birthday, and a girls.just.need.to.get.out.of.the.house.and.enjoy.some.mimosas kind of day! :)

Ang-who celebrated a birthday yesterday-Happy Birthday Ang!
Mattox was clearly over us by the end of brunch so he passed out
Maria Maria and Wilder-he was lovin' hanging with the chicks

-Last week Megan, Mere and Yours Truly decided that we wanted to be tortured try out a bootcamp class offered from one of those Groupon/Living Social/Getadealoncoolstuffwebsites.
We have been for 2 weeks now and am feelingpretty good about it, but let me tell you, that first week was brutal-It was hard to walk, sit, stand, but after the 2nd and 3rd classes my body is getting used to the pain I think. :)

-The hubs has been working his tail off for the last few weekends.  While we will be enjoying the extra moolah thats coming in, I def miss him and I think that Wrigley is getting tired of being home with me all the time bc all I do is take pictures of him and snack on food that I won't let him have (most of the time) :)

-I've also been dabbling in the instagram bowl-as you can tell from the pic above-but I'm not quite sure I understand the whole concept but I like what I can do with pictures. :)

Well I think that is enough excitement for one afternoon.  :)
I am super excited about seeing this girl this weekend to celebrate her baby turning 2!
Still weird that she is even a mother,
much less a mother of 2,
much less a mother of a 2 year old! :)
Crazy how time flies!
