Happy Birthday Megan!

This is a very special girl and one of the newest members of our "wolf pack" as the men in our lives like to call it.  She has fit in like a glove and I couldn't be happier to have her as one of my dearest friends.  Megan is a no holes barred kind of girl and I LOVE that!  She is funny, sweet and would do anything in the world for the ones she cares about.
Love you girl and hope you have a great birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

**On a side note, wow-could my hair get any more blonde in that picture, I mean wow! :)

Plotting His Escape

This is what we predict that Wrigley is trying to do during the day while he is in his crate.  We found his "shank" and are convinced that he is trying to escape from jail his crate any day now!

What do ya'll think?

Girls Night, Lazy Days, and Baby Showers

Friday night Phoenix hosted a "girls night" at her house.  She cooked chicken spaghetti (recipe to come later-so yummy), salad and of course champagne punch (recipe also to come-super delish!).  This was a special "girls night" that involved 2 consultants, a lot of champagne punch, a gun case, and some people majorly blushing and giggling...yes it was one of those kinds of parties!  Even though some people seemed a little bit embarassed than others, I think everyone had a great time hanging out!  :)

Saturday, the hubs, Wrigley and I didn't even get off of the sofa until about 6 0'clock that night...we watched a ton TV and napped all day and it was GREAT!  That night we had to go pick up some baby shower gifts and went to Konomi for dinner.  We ate till we couldn't eat anymore and went home and went to bed with our full tummies.

Sunday I had 2 baby showers, but was only able to make it to one of  them since they were both at the same time and in completely opposite directions.  We made our way to Lindsay's baby shower at the Carrington clubhouse to celebrate the arrival of Miss Kinley Reese.  I predict that she will be making her arrival into this world very shortly even though she is not supposed to be here for another 3 weeks. Everything was so cute and well put together at the shower.  The hostesses did an amazing job from the decor, food and gifts, it was all wonderful and the momma to be couldn't be cuter!

I'm not sure what got into me this weekend but I didn't take a single picture, even with all of this stuff going on...sorry about that.  I'll be better next time.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend and that this week will be the start of a good week-God knows, I could use it!
Happy Monday everyone!

"Chow Down Around Town"-J.Clyde

It's been a while since I have posted about our "Chow Down" nights, and that's because in November I didn't get any pics b/c I killed my camera at the beginning of the month and December we ended up not having one b/c the holidays were so hectic and so was everyones schedules.

We started off the new year's "Chow Down" at J. Clyde's...a pub in downtown southside.  They have every kind of beer you could imagine and then some and some pretty yummy food too!  We had a little bit of everything from fried green tomatoes, to caprese salad with fried okra, to burgers with fried green tomatoes on them, (I'm noticing a pattern that everything we ate was fried btw!) to pizza, to sweet potato fries....everything was delish!  Also they had a really cool special where you could order a "beer sampler" that came with 5 different beers-your choice or the waitress would choose for you for only $8!
Angela's Beer Sampler
My Yazzo Hefeinwezin <--not sure of the spelling but it was pretty good!

It was so good to get back int othe monthly girls night routine again...it was also much needed for this girl too!  To say it has been a litte estressful lately is a complete understatement but the beer, fried food and girlfriends def helped!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Living with Wrigley 2

Welcome to another edition of "Living with Wrigley"!

Here is an example of what happens when you tell Wrigley "No! You can't get on the sofa!" (He couldn't get on the sofa b/c he was on it the other night, on his sheet, and he peed in his sleep-that is a whole other story for another day!)
Believe it or not, I was on the other side of him laying down-what Wrigley wants, Wrigley gets and he wanted to cuddle with his daddy!
I love him!

Auburn Wedding Weekend

This past Saturday (the 15th) the hubs and I headed down the the Plains for Casey and Kristen's wedding.
They got married at the Auburn University Chapel and the reception was at the Auburn University Hotel.

All of my years in Auburn both for school and visting I had never been in the chapel until this weekend.  I have no idea why either.  Anyways, it is so small and quaint and was perfect for the small town, cozy feel of the entire wedding.  We, along with Maria and Chad just barely made it to the chapel in time for the wedding-we may have underestimated the amount of time it would take us to get to the hotel, check in, get ready and get to the wedding on time, but we did make it with absolutely NO time to spare!

The band was great and so was the food-also a really cute touch was they had a table set up with Toomer's Corner lemonade and the table had a mini tree that was rolled with toilet paper-too cute and delicious!  We danced the night away and cheered the couple out with Auburn shakers and the fight song!
The hubs and I at the reception about to be seated
We were seated at the "Heisman"table and the hubs thought this pose would be appropriate!
The boys with the happy groom (Andy, Kevin, Wayne, Johnny, Casey, Harper, Chuck, Chris, The hubs, and Chad)
Us with the groom and Wayne-not sure what kind of face that is he is making in the background!
Maria, Cassie, and Jenn
Me (and my boobs-thanks Phoenix for letting me borrow the dress, but wow!), Cassie, Natalie and baby Jackson
Me and Cassie trying to act young at 17-16!
Chris Scott, Mitch and creepy guy in the back

After the couple left, we went to a few more places to hang out and pretend that we were college students again, but we were quickly reminded that we are not 21 again and that hanging out in a college town with college students only reiterates that fact and makes you stand out like the 80 year old woman on the dance floor...not good!

All kidding aside, it was a great time and we were so glad to be able to witness such a happy couple on such a special day!  Thanks again Casey and Kristen, it was a blast!

Happy Belated Birthday Mere!

So I am a bad friend and didn't do a Happy Birthday Mere post on her actual birthday, so here it is, just slightly delayed...forgive me!
Last Friday (the 14th) was my dear friend Mere's 28th birthday.  We went to Munoz to eat and then made our way to the bowling alley.
Me with the Birthday girl-love you!
Me and Phoenix, finally after Mere figured out I was Amanda and not OJ!  :)

Mere, I hope your birthday was wonderful and that we will celebrate many, many, many more with you!
 Love you bunches!

Icey Hill 1, Mitch 0

Well as you can tell from my previous post, we got a bit of snow/ice here this week!  It started Sunday night with some snow and it quickly began to freeze and by Monday morning, it was all ice!  Since we live in Alabama, we don't come into contact with these kinds of winter weather conditions often, but when we do, the whole state shuts down-or so it seems.  We were all off of work-except for Sunday night when the hubs had to go in overnight and stay in a hotel to ensure that they would be there Monday morning and wouldn't get snowed in.  The joys of working for the power company!  Anyways, he was able to come home Monday around lunch time, which meant perfect timing for us to go sledding!
Wrigley loved the snow!
Yep, it's that couple again...we LOVE living next to some of our best friends...we can hang out even during a winter storm!
I thought this was so cute of the boys!
Here's a video of the hubs sledding
and here is the hubs after that little incident...

He obviously didn't learn the first time and injured himself again trying to do some Superman stunt and needless to say, the icey hill won...
I have so many videos from this day I can't even post them all , but here is one of Yours Truly...so much fun!!!

We really had so much fun and felt like we were kids again!  However, we were also quickly reminded that we are not that evening with our bumps, bruises and sore muscles, but it was def all worth it!

A few days off work, a National Championship win, and a day of sledding with friends = AUsome!!!!!

2010 BCS Champions!!!!

Monday night (Jan 10th) our Auburn Tigers brought home a victory for not only Auburn but for the state of Alabama!  The Tigers beat the Oregon Ducks 22-19 making Auburn University the 2010 BCS National Champions!  I truly have never been more proud to be an Auburn Tiger and am so grateful that I was/am able to be apart of such an amazing family!  War Damn Eagle!

Since we were "iced" in (yes I said "iced" in here in Alabama-more on that on the next post) we just walked up the street to our dear friends Matt and Jess' house to watch the game and dance the night away! :)

(Yes I know that is ice on the ground and I'm wearing a t-shirt, but I wasn't out there long and it was obviously after a few glasses of vino to celebrate our victory!!)
Sicne we couldn't make it to Toomer's Corner,we decided to bring Toomer's to us...well not exactly but we still wanted to roll Matt and Jess' tree anyways!

It's great to be an Auburn Tiger!

3 Years Ago Today....

I was asked the most amazing question a girl can be asked...and obviously I said yes!  Yep, that's right, 3 years ago today, the hubs asked me to be his wife.  It was one of the most amazing days of my life and I literally felt like I was on top of the world!

A little background info first...
All the years I have worked I can only think of a small, small handful of times that I would ever "call in" sick and I would really be sick-never did I just "call in" to play hookie.  I guess b/c I had always worked retail and needed every hour that I could get and then after I started my "big girl" job, I just wanted to prove to my bosses that I was committed and serious about my work.  Also, Mitch works 4 ten hour work days a week, so he is off every single Monday (yes I know, he sucks) and is always asking me to take off with him b/c he gets bored  hanging out by himself all day since no one else is off.

Back to the story...
It started on a Sunday night over at my parents house taking Christmas decorations down.  Mitch kept asking me all day to take off the next day (as usual) and spend the day with him.  Little did I know that while I was vaccumming up pine needles from the Christmas tree, he was in the kitchen asking my parents for permission to marry me! I truly don't know why I agreed to take part in his little shenanigans that next day (God's work), but I did...I faked a terrible stomach bug and began to get ready for our lunch date.

We went to eat at a pizzeria called La Dama in Trussville (it's closed down now, not sure why either b/c it was yummy!).  Afterwards he kept asking me what I wanted to do next and suggested we go to Ruffner Mountain.  I thought this would be a great idea since I had never been...little did I know that we would be hiking like 10 miles  a mile to one of the prettiest views I had ever seen.
We got to the top of the mountain, sat down, talked and were basically just catching our breath and enjoying the view.  I was acting all classy, slurping my straw and in my own little world, and when I turned around, he was holding my ring with the cutest look on his face ever! I kept asking him if he was serious-I was in complete shock-and he told me that if I didn't answer him, he was going to jump!  I, of course said yes and  we began our hike down the hill to go tell everyone and show off my beautiful new sparkler!

That night was the National Championship game (don't remember what teams, sorry), so we went to Phoenix and OJ's house to have some champagne and celebrate with all of our friends!
It was truly one of the most special moments that we have shared together as a couple.  I guess it just made us instantly feel like grown ups and that we would be true partners for life.  I say it all the time, but I am truly the luckiest girl in the world to have him in my life and am even luckier that he chose me! :)

I love you babe!

Kissing Camera

I felt it was only necessary to have a kissing camera session instead of the normal "Funny Faces" edition with it being New Years Eve and all, so here we go!

I know I'm corny, but I reserve that right-it's my blog! :)
