Our Babymoon/4th Anniversary trip

We headed out first thing Friday morning for a weekend of relaxtion, no stress, good food and some good quality time with each other and this vacay did not disappoint.

We spent the entire weekend at the beach (with our umbrellas for this pregnant Irish girl's skin) or cooling off in the extremely cold, but refreshing pool, watching the Olympics and getting in bed by 10 each night! :)
Yeah, we're crazy like that. :)

Friday night we went to Pier Park, which is basically an outdoor mall with bars and restaurants. It was very cool and super crowded.  We tried to go back on our way out on Monday but it was raining and we jsut didn't feel like playing in the rain.  Blogger fail = no pics!

Our view from our room...oh did I mention we were on the 22nd floor?! Even the hubs had to admit it was a little high, even for him, but it was a wonderful view of everything!
Saturday, we laid at the beach all day and went in about 3 b/c it was about to storm, but never did. We weren't too upset b/c we got a real good nap in before going to dinner at Spinnakers and playing putt putt. I was tryign to get the hubs prepped for his upcoming golf trip, but he just didn't see it the same as I did :)
So handsome-I love him so much!
He was over the picture-taking time...
Sunday was more of the same, us on the beach all day enjoying doign nothing!
That night we had planned all weekend on going to eat at Capt. Anderson's for our "anniversary" dinner b/c we thought it would be far less crowded than on a Friday or Saturday night. Well, nice thought, but we should have made sure that they were open on Sunday's = EPIC FAIL!
Our backup plan was a little Italian place called Sweet Basil's which has the best chicken parm ever and it did not disappoint.
We spent the rest of the evening curled up on the sofa, watching the Olympics and listening to the ocean...perfect night in my opinion. :)
and yes, I am one of those that rocked the bikini at the beach....if you don't like it, don't look.
Believe me, we saw far more offensive things on the beach than my big ol'  pale belly! :)

Even though it was short, but sweet, I'm so glad that we were able to get away just the 2 of us before Hollis arrives.  It was great to be able to enjoy him all to myself for a few days and reminded me just how lucky I am to have him and how much more lucky Hollis will be to have him as a daddy! :)
